Come and take a walk with me and view life from an UnCut point of view.
Growing up my dad always called me tiny but mighty. I never truly understood why he referred to me that way until a year or so ago when I realized I was a force to reckon with. I have always been filled with powerful ideas and thoughts, but I was just unsure on how to execute them. Then I had a breakthrough moment (or what I like to call an Ah Ha! moment) and learned that you have to trust the timing of your life and take the risk or lose the chance.
At 18 I graduated high school, went on to college, and immature me took a “break” after starting year three. At 22 had my first child and at 26 my second (and God knew he would be my last after countless sleepless nights). To say my intended break became a forgotten dream was an understatement. Fast forward to two years ago when I started to view life from a different perspective, I decided to take a leap of faith and go back to school. While I thought I only have a few credits to finish, I was faced with the harsh reality of starting all over again because apparently credits expire if you don’t continue going to school. Could I have given up a second time after hearing I needed to start from scratch, absolutely. But instead, I saw it as a dare I couldn’t punk out of.
So where am I now you ask? (Ok fine, you didn’t ask but let’s pretend you did). I am now three, yes THREE classes away from graduating with my degree in Business Administration. One child almost done with his Junior year in high school, and the youngest graduating eight grade, so what better time than now. Now is the time to explore all the dreams I’ve had on pause this long because while I was raising my children, I forgot how to be an individual and became just mom. I knew one day I would continue my journey, truthfully I didn’t know how long it would take but my time has finally arrived.
Join me as I embark in this new writing journey that I have always had a passion for.
I will put feelings into thoughts, and thoughts into words. I will be real, relatable and simply UnCut;
